It will darken your hair. I used to use it and it does wash out - to some degree, but your hair will forever be darker, but a natural dark, not a harsh fake looking black.

Its going to stain your hair , yeah, and may not wash out. Have you considered a brown color instead of black? Black would be way too harsh with your complexion imo
