Which Blue-Black hair dye do you recommend?

I have black hair and i recently dyed it Blue-Black, but i didnt like the results, only because i want a dye where the blue tint really shines, even in normal light, kind of like Vanessa Hudgen's hair in High School Musical. Any suggestions?

Which Blue-Black hair dye do you recommend?

I would suggest going to a professional stylist. They can help you really get what you want. I know it's much cheaper to do it yourself but you wont get as good results. Also if later you decide to go lighter...go to a professional. Artificial color does not lift artificial color...thus you will have to bleach it and then put the color you want on top of that. Hope this helps you a little. Good luck!

What's a good black hair dye that won't run.?

My hair is black and blonde. When I first dyed it the black ran out when it was washed and turned my blonde hair gray. I have since fixed it, and have just been keeping the black seperate from the blonde while washing. Does anyone know of any black dye that will not run?

What's a good black hair dye that won't run.?

Since you already have it black... and want to do it at home, try revlon or nice and easy... i think that is clariol. But I can tell you one thing, i made the mistake of dying it black, but used a permanant color... it took at least 2 years to get it taken out professionaly... i would suggest using a dark brown, but semi permanant. good luck

Sharpie

What's a good black hair dye that won't run.?

Box dyes are unhealthy. Get it done perfessionally or get the dye from a perfessional place like sally's beauty.

What's a good black hair dye that won't run.?

I have always used revlon. I found that the cheaper the product the faster it comes out. Don't use nice and easy it doe not last long.

What's a good black hair dye that won't run.?

don't dye your hair black!

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

I recently dyed my hair JET BLACK. I loved it for while, but now I'd prefer to have my brown hair back. How long should I wait until I re-dye it? And I've looked at drugstore hair dyes that are specifically for "dark hair" that lighten your hair. I've used it in the past on my natural hair and it was fine, but the package says that they don't suggest using it on hair that has been dyed a color darker than dark brown (which I just did). Should I still re-dye my hair??

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

HI, I dyed my hair jet black once also and after a month didn't like it anymore, so i tried to dye it back to a brown and....that was not a smart idea my hair turned an orangish color and i ended up having to have them fix it at the hair salon. They say Red and Black are the hardest colors to dye , I would definately suggest going to a pro to re dye your hair...

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

Unfortunatley, no. It will ruin your hair, and damage it. It may look bad for a few weeks, but just wait because you shouldn't risk your hair to re-dye it. It will also eventually grow out. And If you are desperatley needing to change it I would wait 2-3 weeks and give your hair a break and go dye it to the color you want. I would also go to a hair stylist and ask to fix it.

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

I hate to tell you this but hair color will not lift hair color. Black is the hardest color to lift up and out. The only thing that will lift it is bleach. The color black is made up of a lot of different colors, it has red, orange, yellow. You would have to bleach your hair until you got to the level of brown you wanted and by pass the reds. If you really really want to do this please go to a professional. It is a extremely tricky thing to do by yourself, lookat it this way if you try to do this yourself and really mess it up you are going to have to go to a shop anyway and spend double the money.

Good Luck

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

it wont take good you have to wait till your hair grows out

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

Hair dye can not lift artifical color out of the hair. The black dye will have to be lifted from your hair with a low volume bleach. Loreal sells one at drug stores called the "Artifical Haircolor Remover Kit", but i suggest you go to a professional.

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

if you put a color over the black it won't do anything,it will still be black. The only way to get the black out is to use hair color remover and that is very damaging. You should just let the black grow out, keep trimming your hair to get rid of the black.

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

How recently did you dye it? Give it a few weeks before you try anything too harsh on it. My hair wouldn't let go of the black for a whole year and it was semi permanent! My hair stylist told me that a good way to get color out was to use Dawn dish soap on it. But this will dry out your hair so I would wait. She told me this after mine had been dyed a few months so I don't know if it would help on freshly dyed hair. Just thought I'd tell you what she told me.

Why can't they make black hair dye that looks natural?

When I was a kid people used to ask me if that was my real hair color-it was so black it looked blue in certain lights. But as I've gotten older I've gotten gray, and so I've been dying it, but dying it dark brown. Today I dyed my hair black because when the brown grows out it looks reddish, and it looked horrible. I decided to go back to my natural color, black. But it looks so fake and one dimensional! They make brown and blonde dyes with highlights so that it doesn't look so fake, but are there any black ones that don't look so fake? This time I used Garnier Nutrisse, and I like the black, but it just looks so flat. What can I do? Don't suggest going to a salon, I can't afford it!

Why can't they make black hair dye that looks natural?

I always thought that black looked harsh and even more so as a person ages. You are right it doesn't look natural at all.

You may find that the black will *wash out* a bit where you are the grayest and that will give you the highlights that you seek. Gray does NOT hold the color as well.

The other option is to go back to the brown but make absolutely sure that the brown is more of an ash brown not one with red highlights

Why can't they make black hair dye that looks natural?

umm idk

Why can't they make black hair dye that looks natural?

because the only colour that will really look natural is your own true colour.

Even as we get older or complection chances as our hair either gets lighter or goes grey.

Feria carried dyes with "multiprismatic hightlights" which helps colour look more natural

Why can't they make black hair dye that looks natural?

i wish i knew! i love black hair -- but if you use a dye to achieve it, it just looks like flat shoe polish. awful. I use Garnier Dark Brown.

Why can't they make black hair dye that looks natural?

First of all, I'm sure you have plenty of money to go to a salon. Getting your hair colored is not expensive... I don't know why some women are so lazy!

Second of all, I'd suggest dying your hair "dark black-brown". Revlon Colorsilk, which is a fantastic hair dye, makes that shade (not sure if it's exactly called that) and it usually looks black in most lights but it also gives it more life. That shade is always sold out where I live, it's popular. It looks amazing and a lot more natural than just plain black hair dye. It will make your hair shiny instead of matte also which is what black dye usually does to hair, turns it matte. Good luck.

Wrapping natural 4a black hair STRAIGHT?

Hi,

I've been wearing my hair natural for years and plan to continue, but I'm tired of wearing just a puffy ponytail and I want to change up my look. I have soft and completely natural 4a black hair. Is it possible to use the wrapping technique to make me hair straight or at least straighter? I've worn relaxed straight hair before, but I don't want to bother with chemicals -- that's how my hair got messed up so many times before. I just want to have a straight style when I want to without having to use chemicals or heat. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

Wrapping natural 4a black hair STRAIGHT?

I don't know wrapping techique but i know this...

. I discovered this about 3 months ago and now my hair flows in the wind and is so weightless and healthy. And no i do not have a relaxer i stopped getting them 5 years ago ( and i've only have 3 relaxers in my life time so this is all natural) it amazes me.

1. The shampoo, unfortunately many black women are using shampoos with alcohol and petroleum jelly. step away from them. Use Aveda's shampoo.. specifically the name is Brilliant...go to the website. I use it, i love it, it mouisterizes my hair and the products are natural. i have also heard that KeraCare is good.

2. Okay, step two condition it and then it is time to comb it out, Do not use a brush on you hair when it is wet,,it will hate you for it then break off in revenge.

3. Do a hot oil treatment atleast once a month with extra virgin olive oil...repeat..EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil..not the regular stuff. unfortunately i have yet to take this step however my hair is doing great.

4. Okay on the daily basis you need to pay close attention to your hair...i recommend conditioning your scalp and your ends so that they will not get dry and unhealthy

Petroleum jellly and mineral oil are weapons of mass destruction,,it does so much harm to your hair it cannot be all explained here. So you ask what do I use...well natural oils

jojoba oi, extra virgin olive oil, sesame oil, emu oil, coconut oil...all these natural oils and more love you..i promise.

5. Next,,if you want your hair straight but still be natural it is time to get a freakin good flat iron.,i have the Chi..it does the job but I recommend getting the Sedu because of the good reviews. make sure to protect your hair..i have so thermal protector from Aveda.

6. Eat healthy, drink lots of water,

7. take multivitamins, and fish oil pills you can get from GNC.

Follow these steps and life will be good..the best part about flat iron (which i do once a week or every two weeks not everday since it will kill your hair) is that it is not stringy but thick and healthy, yet straight and light enough to blow in the wind.

Wrapping natural 4a black hair STRAIGHT?

do a rollerset first and then you can wrap it at night....i have natural hair too, but i don't classify it because none of the classifications fit me, my hair varies all over my head, but rollerset first or you can do a press %26amp; curl

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

hey, im going to dye my hair a light golden blonde.

But i heard once you dye your hair the roots of your hair turn black?

Will it still look hot?

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

No, it will look trashy!

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

yeah if you want to look trashy

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

I donno...what do YOU think when you see it on t.v. and in your home town ???

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

visible roots are never hot. ever. they look trashy and unkempt.

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

yes semi hott , not when it looks like a trailor park one though, when it has too much out growth

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

Ahem - no... The only person that I thought could pull that one off was Shakira a few years back... and even she was pushing it! Yuck... Unless you can keep up with doing the root touch up's... do not dye your hair such a light color... you will look cute for about a month and then can you say TRAILER TRASH!?

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

no, it wont look hot, but your hair doesnt turn black anyway(unless its natural)

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

No, they don't, and no, it doesn't. You're roots will not turn black if you dye your hair, but be sure to keep it dyed if you have darker hair. Dark roots look like a bad dye job.

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

NO it wont!! Itll make you look cheap. But if you go to a proffesional and get your hair dyed it makes the world of difference. I did it by myself and it looked awful besides my hair turning orange and making my roots look black. Then I went and got it dyed again like three weeks later by a pro and it looked awesome... plus no black roots=)

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

its possible (your roots dont change really, its just the contrast with the differant color that make them look darker) if you have a short, feathered look, it can work and look sortof frosted. however if your hair is long or super strait or has a fairly simple cut, then it will more than likely just look trashy.

Blonde hair, brown hair, or Black hair. A new color?

I"m asian and I have really dark brown hair(if you look close enough) and I am wanting to get blonde highlights. I'm still not completely sure because I'm still really nervous about dye-jobs.

What kind of blonde color would look good with black hair? Al lighter or brownish? I am going to get it done in a salon, by the way. I am also thinking about get regular highlights (brown), but I want something different and change. I've had the same look for a long time and I want to shock my friends and family.

Help? Thanks to anyone in advance.

Blonde hair, brown hair, or Black hair. A new color?

Not just plain blonde streaks - they don't look very classy imo. I really like the red streaks, though, and brown sounds like it would be good. Or, have you seen black-haired people with the multi-colored (brown-red-blond) highlights before? I think it's pretty pricey but it looks really pretty...

You could do something like purple, too!

Blonde hair, brown hair, or Black hair. A new color?

brownish. changing your color to lighter all of the sudden, might sock you

Blonde hair, brown hair, or Black hair. A new color?

I think asian ppl look better with light brown. I'm asian too and my friends often have brown highlights.

Blonde hair, brown hair, or Black hair. A new color?

RED HAIR,,,

Blonde hair, brown hair, or Black hair. A new color?

Shocking will be easy...get the lighter brown highlights, too, but then go REALLY light for accen streaks. They will notice.

Blonde hair, brown hair, or Black hair. A new color?

I think brown hair with blonde hightlights are pretty much the best way to go !!!!

Blonde hair, brown hair, or Black hair. A new color?

Do'nt ,mistake me for being racist, but I dont think blonde looks great on asian people, highlights are ok but not a full head of blonde hair. start with THIN blonde highlights. and dont go for the proper peroxide blonde - white shade, a subtle tone will look nice if you go to a good hairdresser they can help a lot with picking colours to suit your natural hair tone.

good luck.

Blonde hair, brown hair, or Black hair. A new color?

Actually it depends on you %26amp; with you choice. But maybe it would be best if you make golden brown with your black hair or get golden highlight. But black hair looks good %26amp; my hair is also black because I am asian male.

Blonde hair, brown hair, or Black hair. A new color?

for the best shine, i use a see through dye.

you can actually see your face in it.

i think platinum highlights for you though. %26lt;%26lt; baldy

Blonde hair, brown hair, or Black hair. A new color?

if you go for the blonder highlights, be careful!!!!! any kind of lightening process on darker hair might turn it orange. you need a stylist that has been doing color for a long time(at least 5-10 years experience). they will know what lightening product to put on that is best for your natural level. my question is if you have any color on your hair now? if you don't great, virgin hair is the best canvas for a colorist. if you already have color on your hair then you absolutely CAN NOT lighten your hair with just color. color does not lift color. if you have virgin hair, then start off with just a few levels lighter than your natural. this will get you used to the lighter color. you can always add more but if it is too much then you have a problem.

one of the girls in my salon is asian and she pulls her hair through a cap and puts a blue based highlighting bleach on and has the other person check it frequently.

the blue base will keep the hair from being too orange or brassy.

combine the 2 colors and you get a nice multi-dimensional look. good luck

Blonde hair, brown hair, or Black hair. A new color?

I say all over platnim blonde highlights thin but lots

Blonde hair, brown hair, or Black hair. A new color?

dark brown or black hair looks great with all colors of highlights such as reds, browns and blonds

How to make my dyed black hair lighter?

My original hair is dark brown to balck. I have been dying it black( due to grey hair) but now I want to change it to a lighter color(light to dark brown so that grey hair won't show up as much) but not sure how to go about it. Also recently I wanted hightlights so I got it done but the top of my head did not take the hightlights but the bottom part of the hair did.. So now I feel like not only I have black and grey but also lighter brown at the ends.. How do I cover the grey in a situation like this.. I don't want to bleach or have any harsh treatment to my hair.Help.. Thanks Nina

How to make my dyed black hair lighter?

It depends on when the last time you dyed your hair was. The bottom layer of my hair was dyed black. Its all dark all over anyways, but i went to a salon to get itlightened to a light brown . They said that the only way they could get rid of the color was to strip it, or bleach, and they couldnt and that it would damage my hair too much. They couldnt do anything, but instead they told me to wait a while and not put any more color on it. Even if you try to lighten it with another color it wont work because color cannot lift color. Just keep washing your hair in hot water, with a clarifying shampoo to get rid of the color, and they told me to even take something like dawn dishwashing liquid and wash it, but you should make sure you condition it as much as you can. i know it can be trouble to wait, but wait one to two months and go back to a salon to get it lightened, and in the end it will be better for you.

How to make my dyed black hair lighter?

I had the same problem. I dyed my hair black for a while and Finally wanted to try something. Whenever I did do something like that it would only dye my roots. so the only real way in order to fix black hair is to strip the color and dye it a lighter color. You will just need to use tons of conditioner after.

How to make my dyed black hair lighter?

go to your local grocery store and check out their hair dyes. There are special dyes to cover up grey out there.

How to make my dyed black hair lighter?

u only color Ur hair or get it high lighted can u tell me how did u got it ............................

How to make my dyed black hair lighter?

Most do it your self hair dyes are now made with a stronger chemical to cover Grey's.

You can buy one of those highlighting kits at the local drugstore and apply it. The directions will state for Grey hair apply 10 minutes longer than the average 30 minutes.

I have Grey's and my husband applied the high lighten kit and I did not find any Grey's when he did it.

Good luck

How to make my dyed black hair lighter?

Lightening black is an extremely difficult process. It may even take more than one sitting to get your hair as light as you want. I would recommend going to a professional to get this done. Once you have the color you want, you could probably do the upkeep on the color yourself.

How to make my dyed black hair lighter?

Just buy the color hair dye you want and use it.

Why do hair salons in the South that cater to black hair put so much grease in it?

I wanted to get my hair done for Easter so I went to the hair dresser on saturday in GA (I'm visiting grandmother, im from MA) anyway the lady put so much grease in my hair. I mean my hair style was nice when i walked out the salon, but my scalp was shining and eveytime i touch my hair my hands were so greasy LOL. I had to wash my hair today to get that gunk out. But i realized that lots of black girls in the south with super greasy hair why? my hair is naturally shiny when blow dried

Why do hair salons in the South that cater to black hair put so much grease in it?

I LIVE IN DC AND THEY USE TOOMUCH DAMN GREASE

Why do hair salons in the South that cater to black hair put so much grease in it?

Don't know. A better place would have been the "Hair" board. You won't get anything but racist answers from the Krackers Kissing Kousins on this board.

Why do hair salons in the South that cater to black hair put so much grease in it?

i guess because of the wheather the sun dries hair out so more grease i guess

Why do hair salons in the South that cater to black hair put so much grease in it?

It is probably the salon you went to.

Why do hair salons in the South that cater to black hair put so much grease in it?

It's so humid in the south that the grease is needed to control the hair. Humidity = bad hair.

Why do hair salons in the South that cater to black hair put so much grease in it?

naturely nappy or curly so inorder to straighten it got to put a lot of grease and hot flat iron

Why do hair salons in the South that cater to black hair put so much grease in it?

maybe because they dont have the $$ for the newest hair products that arent so greasy. So they pile a bunch on to keep the style in place....in new york and dc they normally have better products, from my experience

Why do hair salons in the South that cater to black hair put so much grease in it?

LOL yeah I live in Georgia and I know exactly what you are saying. I think it's a south thing LOL

Why do hair salons in the South that cater to black hair put so much grease in it?

That's odd,

I live in Georgia and the hair dressers I go to never put grease in my hair. Its always light, bouncy and shiny when finished. Next time you visit, go to another salon.

Dying natural black hair?

i have naturally black hair and i'm planning to dye the bottom layer of my hair to a light brown for the first time.

is there anything i need to know?

i might as well get it done at a salon, but if it's too pricey i'll do it at home.

i have had my hair permanently straightened but that was a year ago and my hair is still strong i guess.

Dying natural black hair?

Hey,

Get a box of Stargazers 40 volume peroxide %26amp; bleach (kit) which you can get for around $10 (or a similar kit, but make sure you get 40 volume, it is the strongest).

You should get a brush in the kit, so mix the bleach up and brush it on to the part of the hair you want to lighten.

Leave it for an hour and keep checking it every 15 minutes or so to make sure nothing terrible is happening!

Then have a box of store bought 'toner' eg any box color that you want your hair to ultimatley be and when your hair has reached a light enough shade from the bleaching, dry it, and then apply the toner color either later that day or the next day. If you have acheieved a light enough shade with the bleach, you should find that the toner goes on top nicely and gives you the shade you desire.

I have done this many times for clients in their homes. It can be trial and error but remember ANYTHING can be fixed. Leave yourself enough time to correct before a big social event! If anything goes too wrong remember you can always put a dark color back on top!

Dying natural black hair?

Get it done at a salon, because it has to be bleached first and there's a LOT of room for error on that! Once that part is done, you can probably renew the dye yourself at home...

Dying natural black hair?

i'd go to a salon.

if it goes wrong you'd only wished you had gone.

Dying natural black hair?

id say do it yourself! i have natural black hair (asian-indian) i went to quite a good salon to get brown highlights, payed 鎷?5 and the results i got are terrible, its now blonde! i look like a pineapple! or like a zebra, my hair is black and white! ahh i so wish i did this myself.

anyway good luck to you.

Black hair dye gone wrong?

i dyed my hair today with a non permanent dye, and it was supposed to be black, but too much of the dye came out when i rinsed it out an hour later and now it is a very dark brown.

the brand i used was Schwartzkopf live

the colour it is now is pretty cool, but i just wanted to know why the black dye didn't work

Black hair dye gone wrong?

schwarzkopf live is PERMANENT, i don't understand just WHY it didn't work on your hair as black attaches itself and will develop on ANY haircolour whether previously coloured or natural. i can only think that you didn't mix the colour with the developer properly so the colour wasn't able to penetrate the hairshafts. but if you are happy with the colour you are at then i wouldn't worry.

Black hair dye gone wrong?

Depends on what hair colour you have naturally.

I, myself, am a natural brunette, and dyeing my hair didn't work properly either. You need to have dark brunette hair to get the effect on the pack, and often they have guidelines.

Black hair dye gone wrong?

Snap, that happened to my Daughter,

Black hair dye gone wrong?

Schwartzkopf live is rubbish. My mate used it to dye her hair blue it lasted for 3 washes then went a dull grey.

I used a garnier black hair dye it works much better.

Bare in mind, black hair dyes DO fade inevitably to RED/BROWN after 4/5 months so be sure to refresh your colour. You should do anyway if you dye your roots every 8 weeks.

Black hair dye gone wrong?

Considering the dye is dark and non-permenant, it was bound to lighten gradually. You may have overwashed it - did you shampoo after you rinsed? This may be one cause for it to fade immediately. Never shampoo directly after applying a rinse or semi permenant.

The other reason might be you have a light base to start with. People with mid-brown hair or darker would end up with a blacker result, whilst lighter shades may result in non-permenant dyes being translucent.

The only other reason might be that the brand itself makes weak or inferior dyes. I've never used Swartzkopf non-permenant haircolor, but if you followed the instructions on the pack, then it's the only other explanation.

Black hair dye gone wrong?

Did you follow the preparation directions perfectly? Otherwise, there's your answer. I doubt "too much of the dye came out" when you rinsed it, because no matter what colour you dye your hair, the chemicals have to be rinsed off and it WILL look like all of it is going down the drain. However, if you mixed it properly and timed it right, that won't be the case.

I'm actually surprised that after an hour it didn't take. With most dyes, if you leave it on that long, you'll pretty much fry your hair. I don't recall ever seeing the instructions indicate 1 hour.

If, in a few months, you decide the color isn't really for you I suggest going down to Sally's and picking up Loreal Color Zap. It even cuts black, and you can redye to your natural color, or any other selection, immediately.

Black hair dye gone wrong?

just so you know if you had yr hair dyed black in a salon you are stuck with that colour until it grows out or is cut.

Schwarzkopf live is a really good one.

The live products do tend to wash out quite a bit but they keep their colours quiter well.and watch out if yr going in a pool or sea.but really you need to go permanent for that kind of coverage

Black hair dye gone wrong?

hmmm

why do not u try black hennah it will last more and better for ur hair

Coloring Black hair to Dark Brown is it possible?

I have naturally black hair, I tried to do this once my hair looked like a carrot.. it was like burnt orange! I have coarse hair, whats the best plan of attack?

Coloring Black hair to Dark Brown is it possible?

I would go to a professional. It's very difficult to lighten hair...even from black to brown. At the salon they can watch your hair and if it does turn orange, they have a product to take out the orange tones. If you don't want to go to the salon, try going to a beauty supply store and talk to them. They are very helpful and sell the products to get rid of the orange tones. Works great!! I've had to use it a few times. I wouldn't suggest striping your hair...it will make it brittle and break. Make sure to get a really good conditioner to use after you color it. Good luck!

Coloring Black hair to Dark Brown is it possible?

of course but use the right color and use some hair oxygen.

Coloring Black hair to Dark Brown is it possible?

you need to strip your hair of its color first then dye it

Coloring Black hair to Dark Brown is it possible?

yea ofcourse. use a hair dye, but dont' do ur eyebrows at all for sure!

Coloring Black hair to Dark Brown is it possible?

to do this and get the results you need you should go to a professional. Or your hair will look like a carrot again. Hair colour cannot lift colour only deposit it. The bleach lifts colour, so in other words you must first bleach your hair to the desired colour level you would like and then deposit the colour.

Coloring Black hair to Dark Brown is it possible?

Of course you can, as long as it is permanent dye containing bleach or ammonia.

Your best bet is to go to a professional hairdresser though - this way you'll avoid orange accidents!

Coloring Black hair to Dark Brown is it possible?

Use a nice loreal dye and consult a hairstylist for choosing the right colour.

Coloring Black hair to Dark Brown is it possible?

well to start off the only way to lighten hair that black is to bleach your hair...You will wanna get this 7 stage bleach it comes in a 2oz bottle by Miss Clairol you will have to get the activator to use with this product as well this will bring you to the level of color you want You can but this at any beauty supply store

Black hair dye...?

Whats the best way to remove black hair dye from my hair?

Black hair dye...?

try color oops, its a safe at home color removal and it shrinks the color and it washes away in the shower, and since you didn't lighten your hair it will work. It is amazing I used it but just be prepared to spend a lot of time in the shower to rinse it out, and you can do it up to 3 times, and then dye your hair the same day.

Black hair dye...?

depends on how long it's been in and if you want it totally gone or to lighten it up a bit. Use Sunlight dish soap to wash your hair. Do this 2 or three times and blow dry or stand in the sun between washings. This will lighten it a bit, but if you want it totally gone you may have to strip it and dye it back your natural color. (don't forget to rinse the dish soap out before blowdrying ;) you wouldn't believe it, but a friend of mine didn't and it was nasty!)

Good luck

Black hair dye...?

Well when my friend tried to dye her hair dark brown and it turned black she tried everything to get it out and the only thing that ended up working was going to the salon and getting it stripped and recolored...its hard on your hair but it works.

Black hair dye...?

bleach your hair of course but do know that messes up your hair trust me i know

I have black hair, brown eyes and light skin, what colors look good on me?

I have naturally midnight black hair. When I say midnight black, I mean really really really blue-black. I also have light skin that is sort of a pinkish color. I have brown eyes that change from nearly black to chesnut brown to a greenish brown to pure gold and everything in between all of those extremes, depending on the lighting, the weather, and my mood. What colors of clothing and makeup look good on me?

I have black hair, brown eyes and light skin, what colors look good on me?

The most important factor in choosing makeup colors is determining your skin tone. Here's how to determine your skin tone.

Warm skin tone:

1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear green.

2. Gold jewelry is more flattering than silver jewelry.

Cool skin tone:

1. Look at inner wrist - veins will appear blue.

2. Silver jewelry is more flattering.

Look at your wardrobe and hold up a few items in different colors against your face. Which ones appear more flattering to you in a mirror with natural sunlight? Which colors are you drawn to?

If you are not sure, ask one or two trusted friends or family members who's style you admire.

This web page may be helpful. It has related sites listed at the bottom.

As for color palettes:

1. Earth colors are considered to be more neutral and natural

e.g. taupe or brown eyeshadow, soft blush (Nars Orgasm), lip colors that are like your own but with a little oomph (Revlon Lip Super Lustrous Gloss - Cherries in the Glow)

2. Jewel colors are considered to be more dramatic

e.g. blue or purple or green or shimmery eye shadows, black eyeliner, bold blush, deep burgundy or bright pink lip colors

You can choose from either palette as long as the tones are flattering.

Given your eye color I' recommend soft taupes, browns, and shimmery champagnes with a sheer deep red for a neutral look.

Blue shadows will contrast with the brown in your eyes and sheer soft pink lip tints would provide a more dramatic look.

I have black hair, brown eyes and light skin, what colors look good on me?

Pink, Green, Blue, Green, Red.

I have black hair, brown eyes and light skin, what colors look good on me?

almost any color but i dont think bright colors very much like a bright yellow if u want make up then something around the eyes

I have black hair, brown eyes and light skin, what colors look good on me?

I didn't know eye colors could change all the time. My 1st thought was like the lights in my daughter's room. It changes color all the time. How can you pick the color of clothes you are going to wear. If you pick a yellow shirt in the morning because your eye color is brown, what will you do when your eye turns "pure gold" at noon? Hard to say, very hard. Carry differ colors of clothes with you.

I have black hair, brown eyes and light skin, what colors look good on me?

those are such cool eyes!! anyways i think you would look good in navy blue, browns, pinks, maroon (darkest maroon possible), beige, and any other dark color. for light colors i would recomend sky blue, light pink, grey, and lavender.

for make-up try clear or light pink for the lips, browns, pinks, golds, and purples for the eyes. (if your eyes are a brown color then go for brown and pink and purple and green for a dramatic look - i have brown eyes so i no-, if it is gold go for the golds and browns and pinks, for green go for....i really dont know!)for the eyes, pink for the cheeks, and a foundation that closely matches your skin tone, black or brown for eyeliner and black mascara (or if your eyelashes are dark try the clear kind)

hope i helped!!

Can black hair dye cause a brain tumor??

My mom just got her hair dyed and now she is afraid that she will get brain tumor because Jacky Onasis died from dying her hair black all the time when she dyed her hair she felt stinging and it was very painful so now she is very concerned if u could plz help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Can black hair dye cause a brain tumor??

Hair dye can cause bladder cancer if you dye your hair for many years. Hair dye contains benzene, which is a carcinogen.

Source: My dad just was diagnosed with bladder cancer this spring and had to have his bladder removed. He dyed his hair for 25 years.

www.mayoclinic.com

Can black hair dye cause a brain tumor??

Thank you. :) Report It

Can black hair dye cause a brain tumor??

dying ur hair doesn't affect ur brain at all.............jacky might have history or something is affecting her brain

Can black hair dye cause a brain tumor??

if that was the case they wouldnt have that on the market

Can black hair dye cause a brain tumor??

I have dye my hair black ton of times and i'm still living.she may have been allegic to that brand of dye,but if she wants to be safe she could go to her doctor.

Can black hair dye cause a brain tumor??

that's funny the same thing happened to me when i dyed my hair black. My head felt sore for a week. I don't have an answer for you but i sure hope someone does.

Can black hair dye cause a brain tumor??

First of all, your mother is not Jackie Onassis. Secondly, dyes are made from different chemicals now. Lastly, have you ever asked your mother if she is a Hypochondriac?

Can black hair dye cause a brain tumor??

I agree--dyes are made from different stuff now, and if the ones today gave you brain tumors, the FDA would pull em from the shelves. They've learned a lot since Jackie's day. But I have heard of people just having bad reactions to dyes. I'd suggest next time she go get it professionally done. She might have just had a reaction to the chemicals. But she isn't going to die from it until she drinks it.

Can black hair dye cause a brain tumor??

no but it will make you have bad dreams and poop a lot.

Can black hair dye cause a brain tumor??

idont think so

Can black hair dye cause a brain tumor??

im sure that brain cancer wont happen 2 her because of hair dye. and if she knew before hand, that lil "factoid" about jackie, why dye it in the 1st place if she had fears of that? alot of hair dye tingles when u use it on ur hair. and maybe for some people, it burns. but that definatly doesnt cause u brain cancer!

Can black hair dye cause a brain tumor??

be on notice...anything man-made can cause cancer.

Can black hair dye cause a brain tumor??

the brain doesn't have any changes because the things that you use on your hair and there is no definite evidence of link between the use of any type of hair dye and bladder cancer, lymphoma, leukemia or myeloma, that are the systems that could be affected by substances in your hair, your mom probably was feeling bad because the odor that the chemicals contains, if she is not using hair dye anymore and she is still feeling weird she should go to the doctor to find the real reason for her symptoms

Can black hair dye cause a brain tumor??

the only thing dying your hair will cause, is your hair changing color.

jacky onasis probably had a history of something.

if your mother dyed her hair and her head is stinging and is painful, then she might be allergic, maybe left it on too long (if u leave it on too long, or dye your hair too much too close together, you can get a chemical burn. hair dye is after all a chemical.)

if her scalp is hurting or stinging she should see a doctor right away.

if its not, then she should be ok.

Can black hair dye cause a brain tumor??

I'm 29 and have dye my hair since i was 14. I dye it every two months, my family has an amazing cancer history (most of them have died because of cancer). If i thought that dying your hair black could cause a tumor, do you think i would dye my hair so often?

Tell your mom not to worry, that what she read ir hared is not true.

Can black hair dye cause a brain tumor??

She died of cancer most likely caused by smoking. Where would you get the idea she died from dying her hair? I would not worry about it.

Can black hair dye cause a brain tumor??

the reason she felt stinging is because the black color has alot

of ingredients and amonia. She also could be sensitive to the dye. I have never heard of hair dye giving you cancer in my 32 years of nursing

Can black hair dye cause a brain tumor??

Too late! Tell mom not to buy green bananas. You are as stupid as your mother.

Long black hair?

My friend is being rude to me i have long black hair not down to my knees but nice long thick hair she said to me at least i don't have long stupiead hair she told me to cut it off shall i.

Long black hair?

no but u should get it cut off if you want

Long black hair?

You are very lucky! I wish I had long black hair. Don't listen to her- it sounds like she is just extremely jealous.

Long black hair?

no, it is your life. she can not control it. but you can. plus i think long black hair is so pretty.

Long black hair?

Don't listen to her! Do whatever you feel comfortable with. Do you like the length? If so, keep it. If you want to cut it, knock yourself out!

If you do decide to cut it though, I suggest layers because it'll frame your face really nicely.

Long black hair?

no dont listen to what she says put ur hair in a style to make it look cute and tell her atleast its longer than urs...and i really dont think she is ur friend...dump her i have long black hair too and i love it thoughit is kind of hard to handle and all the girls love it and they all say they wished they had my hair because it is so long silky black and soft...I dont even use conditioner...really

Long black hair?

Not if you like it and look good cahnaces are she'd jealous i know every1 says that but not everyone one can grow their hair so thats prob the reason!

Long black hair?

If your hair is healthy..there is no reason to cut it. If you want maybe you should cut it to the bottom of your stomach and get side bangs.

Long black hair?

Why should you cut your hair if you like it? The only reason you should cut your hair is if you get sick of it or if you just want some change. I am actually trying to grow my hair out and guess what color it is! Black! Just tell your friend to mind her own and that you like your hair. She is probably just jealous anyway.

Long black hair?

what do you think

im not tying to turn the question around on you or anything but if you like your hair keep but if you want a little change listen to your friend

maybe ask her what she think would look good on you

ps chopped layered hair to shoulder length looks ssooo cute now

hope that helped

bye

Long black hair?

u should not cut u hair on less u want to.

Long black hair?

no shes a b**** and she wants u to look ugly like her....dnt do it ....be ur own person :] gud luck

Long black hair?

I cannot stress that you have to be your own person. whatever type of bipolar distress your friend is going through cannot be pushed onto you. I assume you are a male with long black hair. you didnot specify. nonetheless, if you are not comfortable with yourself try looking at all the "smack-talk" at http://www.hergossip.com/ this should help you realize that everyone has friends that dont like something about them.

Black hair with fair skin or blonde hair with tanned skin?

I personally think black hair and fair skin is mysterious looking, even though sometimes it makes you look washed out.

Black hair with fair skin or blonde hair with tanned skin?

blond hair and tanned skin is fake looking and makes the person look old. Dark hair makes the fair skin look even more fair and if i had to choose would go with the dark hair, fair skin

My dream guy has ear length black hair and pale white skin. So yeah, black hair with fair skin.

Black hair with fair skin or blonde hair with tanned skin?

Hm, washed? Noo, it's BEAUTFUL. I personally love the contrast in colors and shades, so it's pretty. Hm, so I LOVE fairskin, anyway, and either a dark or bright color looks good with it. I LOVE beautiful alabaster skin, with the contrast.

I'm not into the whole damaged skin, though, personally. the blonde's fine, whatever, but I love pretty pale skin. It's wonderful.

Having black hair dosen't make you "goth". Liking black hair and having pretty, natural skin isn't bad. Ignorance shouldn't rule you, either.

I suppose damaged wrinkly skin at 25 is more attractive nowadays? That's what it does, it ages your skin faster, and looks terribly fake, because it is, and also cooking your skin.

Yummy for cannibals, kinda ick for beauty.

Black hair with fair skin or blonde hair with tanned skin?

blonde hair with tanned skin

i hate when people have fair skin with black hair!!! it looks really bad. and usually the people with fair skin dye their hair black cuz theyre trying to be goth with i hate more than anything!

but blonde hair with tanned skin makes you think that they were just on vacation or something

Black hair with fair skin or blonde hair with tanned skin?

Depends on how fair and how tanned you are. I have had black hair and just didn't much care for it. so i'd say blonde and tan

Black hair with fair skin or blonde hair with tanned skin?

hmm black hair with fair skin. or even a dark ash brown with fair skin looks good.

I'm going with black hair and fair skin. It's nice to see people who are different. I get tired of blonde hair and tanned skin everywhere I look.

I love fair complexions...I think they are beautiful. Fair skin looks more natural. Unfortunately, I hate my fair skin..lol.

I get compliments frequently about the contrast of my skin, eyes, and hair. I have black hair, fair skin, and light green eyes.

Is there any current medical advancement (such as transdermal delivery, body sculpting, fat burning, etc.) to get natural shiny black hair that is lustrous. Shiny black hair?

Hi,

Yes there a number of beauty parlours and clinics for both men and women which offer a number of haircare treatments like cleansing, hair rebonding etc. There are various reasons why human hair looses its lusture and shine. It could be due to a hormonal imbalance, pollution, lesser water content in the body, bad hygiene etc.The exact reason may be known by consulting a trichologist.

Shiny black hair?

I bet you are a big fan of the Hoff and Englebert Humperdink! Shiny black lustrous hair is so seventies and so naff!

HELP!A fast way to fade black hair dye?

On saturday night i dyed my hair natural black by loreal feria. that hair color on the box looked pretty natural. i thought what the heck ill give it a try. Right after the shower, i thought BIG MISTAKE. Looks like a total wig! Its extremely black than anyones natural hair color. My natural hair is dark brown to almost black. WOW. I really want it to fade and look natural and i totally regret doing this because its taughting me everyday. I DO NOT want to bleach my hair or do anything costly or damaging. I do not want to fry my hair ;( i had light brown highlights and i wanted to get rid of it..So now i already tried dawn dishsoap and head and shoulders...Any solutions or will it fade overtime and i just have to be patient?

All my friends say it matches me and looks natural...im filipino with tan skin..but to me it looks horrible and fake..PLEASE HELP!

HELP!A fast way to fade black hair dye?

You can try bleaching it, then dying it a more natural color. That may really dry your hair out though. But the only way to dye it another color is to get the black out first, then use another color. But I am a guy so what do I know.

HELP!A fast way to fade black hair dye?

You just have to wait it out, like the rest of us.

Don't be a girl.

HELP!A fast way to fade black hair dye?

There are products at the beauty supply store that will take some of the color out. You sit under a hair dryer for about 30 minutes with this product on. I don't remember the name. Ask at the beauty supply.

Go to a hairdresser before you stuff it up more.

HELP!A fast way to fade black hair dye?

I'm sure it looks great on you; maybe next time, you actually should make your hair black, because your friends say you look great. But use a different brand. For now, really lather up the shampoo and keep washing it until it fades. Hope this helps! =)

HELP!A fast way to fade black hair dye?

I'm sorry to say but you cant fade black with any product. You have two choices: Wait for a few months until your hair grows out and it fades with time; or option B: Bleach your hair then re-dye it whatever color you want. You CANNOT dye over black with any other color other than blonde/bleached.

HELP!A fast way to fade black hair dye?

Actually the only way without going to a proffesional is to just wait it out. My boyfriend had black hair and when he was sick of it we talked to my hairdresser and she said the only way would be to bleach it out. And so he did that and it didnt even come out all the way the first time. Plus his hair turned a sort of orangey brown color. But that can be fixed with brown dye. It takes a while and is very difficult to get rid of black dye.

Good Luck %26lt;3

I know tha Dawn dish soap will strip your hair clean of the build up. Maybe use the dish soap and a conditioner, so it doesn't get too dry.

HELP!A fast way to fade black hair dye?

keep washing your hair with a BABY shampoo

It will help the color fade to a nice natural black

HELP!A fast way to fade black hair dye?

just wash in a couple times and if that doesnt work wait it out?

HELP!A fast way to fade black hair dye?

You just have to be patient and let it fade over time.. both of my parents were hairdressers.. So i know a lot about hair.. anything that you do to your hair with chemical can possibly damage your hair.. You could always go out and buy color remover.. but because it strips the hair of its color it will look like blondish or even Orange so if u take that rounte make sure you buy a box of color and be prepared to re dye it.. Hope it turns out fine..

HELP!A fast way to fade black hair dye?

I've heard you can wash your hair with Tide and it will strip your hair of the color.

HELP!A fast way to fade black hair dye?

I've tried this before, wash your hair a lot with shampoo, it'll look more natrual. BUT, there is no way to fade it a lot. I even used dark brown semi-permanent haircolor and it turned black, IT WOULDNT FADE! I would bleach your hair out for 10 minutes to make it brown.

HELP!A fast way to fade black hair dye?

When I was in cosmetology school and a color came out to dark we used "Preal" shampoo original formula to fad out just a little bit.

Hope this helps.

HELP!A fast way to fade black hair dye?

Try hot oil treatments followed by a good clarifying shampoo. Keep giving it deep conditioning treatments, so it does not get too damaged. If it still hasn't faded enough in a couple of weeks, you may want to try something like colorfix.

HELP!A fast way to fade black hair dye?

Filipinos have naturally black hair, and so do I. You just reminded me of myself, but kinda in an opposite way though. So, I dyed my hair permanently last month black. I like it black though, because my hair used to have a brownish, reddish color, dyed from last year. Then after a week it faded away. I also used the loreal feria crap. SO.. i think you'll have to wait for it.

HELP!A fast way to fade black hair dye?

While there are products that are at beauty supply stores that work ....some work instantly, and some that take an hour or so.....every head of hair is different, some hair will turn out ok and some will turn out orange/gold.....you have two choices either try this yourself and pray for good results or go to a professional.....even a professional can not tell you what is going to happen she will have to watch this process very closely.....since you also have the high-lights in it you are not going to fade as quickly as someone without high-lights

Black hair dye gone wrong?

why do not u try black hennah it will last more and better for ur hair

I have jet black hair and want to get highlights. know anything that'll look right?

I have jet black hair and want to get highlights. know anything that'll look right?

theres not much to do.

I think you should die your hair to a lighter color.

but i like a streak of brown or a platinum blonde, or something really unique.

but sometimes you have to mix up the colors to find a perfect color.

HOPE THIS HELPS %26amp; GOOD LUCK!!

I have jet black hair and want to get highlights. know anything that'll look right?

go a shade lighter all over and start with that then see if you still want highlights

I have jet black hair and want to get highlights. know anything that'll look right?

if i were you i would dye my hair a lighter color but if you don't want to do that then you should get brown highlights. not too light but not too dark.

Well for a natural look you should go for a shade of brown, a lighter brown than what you would normal pick. Since you said your hair is B-L-A-C-K if you pick a highlight that is dark you won't see any difference.

Black hair care in South Korea?

I'm an Afro-Caribbean woman who wants to live in Seoul working as an English teach for a year. The only thing that really bothers me is that I think I will have problems finding somewhere to get my hair done. Does anyone know if there are any hairstylists/salons in Seoul (near Itaewon-dong) that do Black hair.

Black hair care in South Korea?

I know I really cant help you but if all else fails try to go to the military base. Maybe you can meet friends with other black girls from the military base. I am white but when I was in the Army stationed in Korea all of the black girls did not mind getting their hair done on base because the hair stylist while Korean really knew how to take care of black hair. If that does not work may be you can get the number of a hairstylist from one of the girls and they can help you. The base near Itaewon is Yongson and on South post there is a nice hotel with a beauty shop in it called the Dragon Hill. They are great and very inexpensive, you can get manicures and pedicures as well. You have to get someone to sign you on base but you do not need an Id card for the beauty shop and the restaurants last time I checked but you do need a military Id for the shoppette and commissary. I know it is not exactly what you asked for but I hope it helps and good luck:)

Black to Blonde hair...HELP!?

So I have 2 boxes of black hair dye, within an 11 month period on my hair. So its all kind of faded and roots are coming in. I really really want to go platinum blonde!!! I've searched and searched for an answer I'm not worrying about damaging my hair because its already damaged. HELP. I need some good tips.

Black to Blonde hair...HELP!?

i would really call a salon and have them help you, once you damage your hair too much you are screwed and are better off talking to someone knowledgeable right off the bat.

Black to Blonde hair...HELP!?

wats ur ?

Black to Blonde hair...HELP!?

well i really dont know wat to tell you!

Black to Blonde hair...HELP!?

So, get a box of platinum blonde hair dye. And dye your hair blond....

Black to Blonde hair...HELP!?

don't, don't, don't.

you really should worry about damaging your hair.

to go from dyed black to platinum, you will need SEVERAL bleaching sessions. this will destroy your hair to the point where it breaks off from like touching it. it's not worth it at all.

wait until the black dye is completely gone. i know that's not the answer you want, but it's the best way to go.

when it's gone, go to a salon for the first bleaching session. they'll know how to handle it better.

know that your hair maybe be yellowy/orange for a while. get a toner or a toning shampoo to fix this.

and condition, condition, condition.

good luck!

Black to Blonde hair...HELP!?

Well... My friend had dyed her hair black and then wanted to dye part of it blonde so she got this stuff that prepares your hair to get redyed. It opens up your roots and stuff. then, you can bleach it. when she bleached it, it turned light brown then she re-bleached it and it looks good now.

Black to Blonde hair...HELP!?

first. research biolustre.

this saved my hair when I went from black to blonde.

then get some bleach from sally's so 40 developer.

then a blue based toner to get the brassiness out.

Black to Blonde hair...HELP!?

well first you should care because you don't want to be bald by the time your 50 and if you want to go that light from black you have to go step by step like jessica simpson did from brunette-redd-ish brown-blonde you can't just jump otherwise it will come out looking stupid

good luck

Black to Blonde hair...HELP!?

i did that.

first of all get peroxide with a toner in it otherwise your hair will go orange, it will take about 3 goes to get your hair platinum blonde, it took me 3 goes and my hair broke.

peroxide your hair, wait a few weeks then do it again, dont ever do it again within a week of dying it last.

go to a hair shop, im not sure where you live? but in australia priceline and priceattack sell hair moistorisers, buy a moistoriser to keep your hair from going hay like.

hope that helps :)

goodluck
