does black hair color damange less than blonde hair color (not bleach) just regualr hair dye, and also does hair color with no amonia make a difference?

I think it doesn't matter, if you process your hair too much- especially not using quality professional products- it doesn't matter on the color. BUT the darker colors to hide the damage much better than blonde

Well. I dyed my hair black for a musical once, no issues whatsoever (it's a horrible mess though, let me warn you.) However... When I wanted to go back brunette, we had to bleach the black out in order to dye in brown. So. Unless you plan on staying black forever, you're going to eventually have to bleach out, so it's just as bad if not worse.

The chemicals in hair color damages the root source and the follicles. You are damaging your hair every time you add foreign chemicals to it. The key is to moisturize dry/damaged hair. Go out and invest in some good shampoo, I use Biolage by Matrix, it's awesome. And use a deep conditioning treatment at least once every two weeks. Every week would be better, but every two will work as well. Good Luck!
