BLEACHING/STRIPPING natural black hair. Then DYE it brunete?

I know that bleaching/stripping black hair (im chinese) will make it turn to yelowish/greenish. How long does this process take e.g. 1day, week or 2 weeks?

THEN i want to DYE it light brunette. Can this be done RIGHT AFTER i bleached my hair?

And what is a hair toner used for? I cant seem to find a straight answer anywhere. Is it the same as dye or are they two diffrent ways in dying your hair.

Im just asking because when i dyed it brunette awhile back it turned ORANGE and i dont want to make the same mistake because i know black hair is unpredictable. I also go college and i dont want to go with my hair messed up.

you really need the help of pro for this...hair will need to be prelighten then colored to desired tone...really need knowledge of this to do.. you can lighten then color in the same day and it should take 2-3 hours depending on length of hair..

a toner is used to tone down unwanted tones that arise..ie: you lighten to blonde and it is yellow a toner is applied to cover the yellow giving you a more natural blonde color...

I would just suck it up, spend the money, and have it done professionally... it is worth it... stripping and dying your hair can really fry it.

you need to go to a pro for this one. you are gonna get into a mess with your hair. it might fall out. it will take a pro to go through that black with lightener.

I wouldnt change the base color again. Black hair is hard to strip and color. The stripping, bleaching, will cause it to become very pourous, which will grab the dye, but then it will easily rinse and fade out. Brown hair dyes always fade to orange colors, its just the way it goes.

Toner is something you use like a rinse, you use it to tone the color of your hair. If its too brassy or yellow-orange after highlights have rinsed out a bit, you would use a toner on that to put in a little warmer color. If you have grey or white hair, it can turn yellow from pollutants in the air, they use a purple color toner to take out the yellow and put in a white sparkle.
