well im black to and i have all natural hair and i dont do perms they will i mean will break your hair off i use a really good flat iron called the sedu it's rocks or you could get the chi and saying on how long i dont know i wanted to get a perm at first until i founfd out what they do it might be pretty long i dont really now i cant see your hair

Black, African, Cremed, Hair?

it depends on how tight your curls are....mine were extremely tight...and when i straightened it...there was a BIG difference

try stretching a curl or two and see how long it gets

sorry don't have any pics of b4 and after

I just want to tell you your hair will be longer, but why perm it just go to the shop and get it press it will look good after you perm it ,but its not worth it.

Black, African, Cremed, Hair?

im blakk too and i get perms but they break off ur hair they are not necesssary you could always straten ur hair wit a blow dryer or statener

Black, African, Cremed, Hair?

haha.yeah when you get a relaxer it's the same length as it is when you press your hair. I have had one for about a year and to tell you the truth there are pros and cons.

Pros:

Dont have to worry about a rainy day ruining ur press

Hair always stays straight and is easy to handle

Cons

Hair is weaker

Need to be conditioned regularly

Hair falls out if not taken care of

I find that I get more split ends

Hair cant take much heat

I would think twice about getting a relaxer. If u can afford to take care of it then its ok, but if not then I wouldnt do it.
