Which Blue-Black hair dye do you recommend?

I have black hair and i recently dyed it Blue-Black, but i didnt like the results, only because i want a dye where the blue tint really shines, even in normal light, kind of like Vanessa Hudgen's hair in High School Musical. Any suggestions?

Which Blue-Black hair dye do you recommend?

I would suggest going to a professional stylist. They can help you really get what you want. I know it's much cheaper to do it yourself but you wont get as good results. Also if later you decide to go lighter...go to a professional. Artificial color does not lift artificial color...thus you will have to bleach it and then put the color you want on top of that. Hope this helps you a little. Good luck!

What's a good black hair dye that won't run.?

My hair is black and blonde. When I first dyed it the black ran out when it was washed and turned my blonde hair gray. I have since fixed it, and have just been keeping the black seperate from the blonde while washing. Does anyone know of any black dye that will not run?

What's a good black hair dye that won't run.?

Since you already have it black... and want to do it at home, try revlon or nice and easy... i think that is clariol. But I can tell you one thing, i made the mistake of dying it black, but used a permanant color... it took at least 2 years to get it taken out professionaly... i would suggest using a dark brown, but semi permanant. good luck

Sharpie

What's a good black hair dye that won't run.?

Box dyes are unhealthy. Get it done perfessionally or get the dye from a perfessional place like sally's beauty.

What's a good black hair dye that won't run.?

I have always used revlon. I found that the cheaper the product the faster it comes out. Don't use nice and easy it doe not last long.

don't dye your hair black!

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

I recently dyed my hair JET BLACK. I loved it for while, but now I'd prefer to have my brown hair back. How long should I wait until I re-dye it? And I've looked at drugstore hair dyes that are specifically for "dark hair" that lighten your hair. I've used it in the past on my natural hair and it was fine, but the package says that they don't suggest using it on hair that has been dyed a color darker than dark brown (which I just did). Should I still re-dye my hair??

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

HI, I dyed my hair jet black once also and after a month didn't like it anymore, so i tried to dye it back to a brown and....that was not a smart idea my hair turned an orangish color and i ended up having to have them fix it at the hair salon. They say Red and Black are the hardest colors to dye , I would definately suggest going to a pro to re dye your hair...

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

Unfortunatley, no. It will ruin your hair, and damage it. It may look bad for a few weeks, but just wait because you shouldn't risk your hair to re-dye it. It will also eventually grow out. And If you are desperatley needing to change it I would wait 2-3 weeks and give your hair a break and go dye it to the color you want. I would also go to a hair stylist and ask to fix it.

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

I hate to tell you this but hair color will not lift hair color. Black is the hardest color to lift up and out. The only thing that will lift it is bleach. The color black is made up of a lot of different colors, it has red, orange, yellow. You would have to bleach your hair until you got to the level of brown you wanted and by pass the reds. If you really really want to do this please go to a professional. It is a extremely tricky thing to do by yourself, lookat it this way if you try to do this yourself and really mess it up you are going to have to go to a shop anyway and spend double the money.

Good Luck

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

it wont take good you have to wait till your hair grows out

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

Hair dye can not lift artifical color out of the hair. The black dye will have to be lifted from your hair with a low volume bleach. Loreal sells one at drug stores called the "Artifical Haircolor Remover Kit", but i suggest you go to a professional.

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

if you put a color over the black it won't do anything,it will still be black. The only way to get the black out is to use hair color remover and that is very damaging. You should just let the black grow out, keep trimming your hair to get rid of the black.

Re-dye my recently dyed black hair??

How recently did you dye it? Give it a few weeks before you try anything too harsh on it. My hair wouldn't let go of the black for a whole year and it was semi permanent! My hair stylist told me that a good way to get color out was to use Dawn dish soap on it. But this will dry out your hair so I would wait. She told me this after mine had been dyed a few months so I don't know if it would help on freshly dyed hair. Just thought I'd tell you what she told me.

Why can't they make black hair dye that looks natural?

When I was a kid people used to ask me if that was my real hair color-it was so black it looked blue in certain lights. But as I've gotten older I've gotten gray, and so I've been dying it, but dying it dark brown. Today I dyed my hair black because when the brown grows out it looks reddish, and it looked horrible. I decided to go back to my natural color, black. But it looks so fake and one dimensional! They make brown and blonde dyes with highlights so that it doesn't look so fake, but are there any black ones that don't look so fake? This time I used Garnier Nutrisse, and I like the black, but it just looks so flat. What can I do? Don't suggest going to a salon, I can't afford it!

Why can't they make black hair dye that looks natural?

I always thought that black looked harsh and even more so as a person ages. You are right it doesn't look natural at all.

You may find that the black will *wash out* a bit where you are the grayest and that will give you the highlights that you seek. Gray does NOT hold the color as well.

The other option is to go back to the brown but make absolutely sure that the brown is more of an ash brown not one with red highlights

Why can't they make black hair dye that looks natural?

umm idk

Why can't they make black hair dye that looks natural?

because the only colour that will really look natural is your own true colour.

Even as we get older or complection chances as our hair either gets lighter or goes grey.

look who you are on the outside, if you are convident you will shine and be beautiful to yourself and others

Why can't they make black hair dye that looks natural?

Feria carried dyes with "multiprismatic hightlights" which helps colour look more natural

Why can't they make black hair dye that looks natural?

i wish i knew! i love black hair -- but if you use a dye to achieve it, it just looks like flat shoe polish. awful. I use Garnier Dark Brown.

Why can't they make black hair dye that looks natural?

First of all, I'm sure you have plenty of money to go to a salon. Getting your hair colored is not expensive... I don't know why some women are so lazy!

Second of all, I'd suggest dying your hair "dark black-brown". Revlon Colorsilk, which is a fantastic hair dye, makes that shade (not sure if it's exactly called that) and it usually looks black in most lights but it also gives it more life. That shade is always sold out where I live, it's popular. It looks amazing and a lot more natural than just plain black hair dye. It will make your hair shiny instead of matte also which is what black dye usually does to hair, turns it matte. Good luck.

Wrapping natural 4a black hair STRAIGHT?

Hi,

I've been wearing my hair natural for years and plan to continue, but I'm tired of wearing just a puffy ponytail and I want to change up my look. I have soft and completely natural 4a black hair. Is it possible to use the wrapping technique to make me hair straight or at least straighter? I've worn relaxed straight hair before, but I don't want to bother with chemicals -- that's how my hair got messed up so many times before. I just want to have a straight style when I want to without having to use chemicals or heat. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

Wrapping natural 4a black hair STRAIGHT?

I don't know wrapping techique but i know this...

. I discovered this about 3 months ago and now my hair flows in the wind and is so weightless and healthy. And no i do not have a relaxer i stopped getting them 5 years ago ( and i've only have 3 relaxers in my life time so this is all natural) it amazes me.

1. The shampoo, unfortunately many black women are using shampoos with alcohol and petroleum jelly. step away from them. Use Aveda's shampoo.. specifically the name is Brilliant...go to the website. I use it, i love it, it mouisterizes my hair and the products are natural. i have also heard that KeraCare is good.

2. Okay, step two condition it and then it is time to comb it out, Do not use a brush on you hair when it is wet,,it will hate you for it then break off in revenge.

3. Do a hot oil treatment atleast once a month with extra virgin olive oil...repeat..EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil..not the regular stuff. unfortunately i have yet to take this step however my hair is doing great.

4. Okay on the daily basis you need to pay close attention to your hair...i recommend conditioning your scalp and your ends so that they will not get dry and unhealthy

Petroleum jellly and mineral oil are weapons of mass destruction,,it does so much harm to your hair it cannot be all explained here. So you ask what do I use...well natural oils

jojoba oi, extra virgin olive oil, sesame oil, emu oil, coconut oil...all these natural oils and more love you..i promise.

5. Next,,if you want your hair straight but still be natural it is time to get a freakin good flat iron.,i have the Chi..it does the job but I recommend getting the Sedu because of the good reviews. make sure to protect your hair..i have so thermal protector from Aveda.

6. Eat healthy, drink lots of water,

7. take multivitamins, and fish oil pills you can get from GNC.

Follow these steps and life will be good..the best part about flat iron (which i do once a week or every two weeks not everday since it will kill your hair) is that it is not stringy but thick and healthy, yet straight and light enough to blow in the wind.

Wrapping natural 4a black hair STRAIGHT?

do a rollerset first and then you can wrap it at night....i have natural hair too, but i don't classify it because none of the classifications fit me, my hair varies all over my head, but rollerset first or you can do a press %26amp; curl

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

hey, im going to dye my hair a light golden blonde.

But i heard once you dye your hair the roots of your hair turn black?

Will it still look hot?

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

No, it will look trashy!

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

yeah if you want to look trashy

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

I donno...what do YOU think when you see it on t.v. and in your home town ???

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

visible roots are never hot. ever. they look trashy and unkempt.

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

yes semi hott , not when it looks like a trailor park one though, when it has too much out growth

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

Ahem - no... The only person that I thought could pull that one off was Shakira a few years back... and even she was pushing it! Yuck... Unless you can keep up with doing the root touch up's... do not dye your hair such a light color... you will look cute for about a month and then can you say TRAILER TRASH!?

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

no, it wont look hot, but your hair doesnt turn black anyway(unless its natural)

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

No, they don't, and no, it doesn't. You're roots will not turn black if you dye your hair, but be sure to keep it dyed if you have darker hair. Dark roots look like a bad dye job.

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

NO it wont!! Itll make you look cheap. But if you go to a proffesional and get your hair dyed it makes the world of difference. I did it by myself and it looked awful besides my hair turning orange and making my roots look black. Then I went and got it dyed again like three weeks later by a pro and it looked awesome... plus no black roots=)

Are black hair rootes hot :)?

its possible (your roots dont change really, its just the contrast with the differant color that make them look darker) if you have a short, feathered look, it can work and look sortof frosted. however if your hair is long or super strait or has a fairly simple cut, then it will more than likely just look trashy.
